The Communal Family Village.
Is a neurodiverse Caribbean and African community service.
The Family Village was set up in July 2022 with the aid of The Community Lottery Fund.
Our year-long autism project provided Drama Therapy, The Four Enlightening Creations, Dance Movement Therapy and Well-being sessions in the Birmingham and Sandwell Autistic community.
We Are Because Of Each Other!
We are reaching out, and inviting you to join our in-person and online Autistic and ADHD black and dual heritage focused groups. We understand that we can not advocate for neurodiversity awareness in the Caribbean and African communities without the universal voices of the Autistic and ADHD:
Elders, adults, youths and children.
Grandparents, parents, carers and guardians.
Siblings and extended family members.
Our lifelong mission is to expand the development of our Caribbean and African neurodiverse family village.

An enlightened Parent
“It was very hopeful that we are able to meet our own needs when we intentionally work together with sincere commitment and determination.”
“I found the parent group a refreshing experience, being able to share the experiences of supporting and understanding the view of my autistic daughter and the lack of community aid that exists to help in these situations.”
An enlightened Parent
“The event was successful for it enable us to reflect on the awareness of the lack of representation as a whole for Melanated people but even more when living with Autism. We were able to make suggestions on how we could effect this change and what would it look like.”
